Introducing Tracker Visual Tow - Much More Than Just GPS
Tracker
Management Systems, with design and integration assistance from
Future Quest Wireless Inc., has taken fleet tracking to a new
level by integrating comprehensive GPS vehicle tracking capability
directly into the Tracker towing management system. The result is
a new, very exciting solution called Visual Tow.
"Turn Your Dispatcher into
an Air Traffic Controller"
Being able to see
the real-time location of your vehicles will likely provide
major improvements to your operation in terms of fleet
efficiency and customer service. But, vehicle tracking by
itself still doesn't provide the whole picture of what's really
going on in the field.
With Visual Tow,
Tracker gives towing companies much more. Visual Tow opens up a
picture window view with a front row seat for dispatchers by
adding a new graphical user interface to your existing Tracker
system that works in conjunction with the existing dispatch
screen.
Being
a dispatcher just got a lot easier....
Imagine adding a
second computer monitor for each dispatcher that sits just to
the left of their existing monitor. Picture a detailed street
map on the left, with the Tracker dispatch screen on the right.
Now, imagine that you can see not only where all your trucks are
on that new monitor, but where your calls are too. Take a
call for 123 Main Street and there it is on the map, right there
on 1st and Main!

Visual
Tow tracks the live location of your trucks and
color codes them by their current status.
For example, green trucks are not yet assigned to a
tow job, blue for assigned to a call, red for hooked,
etc. Notice how you can even identify the type of
truck!
|
 |
| |
 |
In addition to tracking
your trucks, Visual Tow puts your jobs directly on
the map at their actual location. Identify the job
type at a quick glance, with different icons for
service calls, tire calls, gas, light duty, med duty
and heavy duty calls, etc. |
|
| |
 |
Quickly identify the
5 closest trucks to a job with a single button
click. Visual Tow helps your dispatcher assign the
closest available vehicle quickly and easily. |
|
| |
 |
Click on a Job or
Vehicle to see full details, including its tow
status and location. Tracker links the tow truck
with the Tracker dispatch system, so all changes to a
job are reflected on the map. |
|
| |
 |
By clicking on a job or
truck that has been assigned, Visual Tow shows all
the aspects of the job, including the location of
the tow, the destination and the assigned truck. The
system also indicates mileage from the truck to the
job. |
|
| |
 |
The integrated route
planning tool allows your dispatcher to plan an actual
route for an important job, measure mileage and
produce turn by turn driver directions. |
|
| |
 |
Visual Tow even allows
you to import your regular accounts directly
out of Tracker so they are shown on the map. Accounts
can be color coded, so that certain account types are
certain colors, such as all body shops are red. |

Now,
you're getting the picture...
Suppose you could easily tell which calls need to be assigned to
a driver, which ones are getting stale and which ones are high
priority -just by their color on the map? What if you could not
only tell exactly where each trucks is, but their tow status at
any given moment? Which trucks are en-route, which are hooked
and even which are loading?
Visual Tow changes the dispatch environment to a visual
environment that compliments the existing Tracker call entry and
dispatch system. The result makes dispatching not only much
simpler, but faster. The ability to see a real-time graphical
picture of all vehicle and job activity changes the perspective
of the dispatcher to one where more informed decisions can be
made and executed quickly, accurately and easily.
Visual Tow sets a new
standard for the way towing companies will dispatch and track
calls
Need to find the closest Flat Bed to that call on the west side
of town? Try clicking on the Flat Bed button right over
there... Okay, there are 3 Flat Bed's available, but only one
in the west. Looks like Fred's unloading right now -his truck
is flashing blue on the map -he should be clear pretty soon.
Want to assign that call to Fred? Just click on Fred's truck,
drag it over and drop it on the job...boom. done.
Visual Tow is an integral part of Tracker. Kind of like left
brain, right brain. The Visual Tow screen is like your right
brain. (Unless you're left handed) You know, the creative,
touchy-feely side that relates more to images and pictures than
words. The Tracker dispatch screen is like your left brain. Its
the cold, calculating, logical side -the one Spock would use.
Just like the two hemispheres of your brain, the two sides of
Tracker are highly integrated. Anything that happens on the one
side is immediately known by the other. Dispatch a call in the
traditional Tracker dispatch screen -fine, no problem. You see
over there on the map -it just changed colors to yellow for
assigned. Nice try though...
