Tracker Touch

What if dispatching was incredibly fast and easy? So fast and easy even technophobic adults could learn to do it within minutes like a pro while saving you a ton of money on fuel?

What if you could look at one computer screen and immediately see the type, location and status for every active call and every truck without having to read a single word? What if, to assign a truck to a call, you could simply touch an icon for the call, then an icon for a truck? Or the truck then the call?

No need to speculate. Because you can do all this and more with Tracker Touch from Tracker Management Systems. Tracker Touch is the first touch-and-tow dispatch system that gives you instant visual status.

The first systems are installed and running. And Tracker CEO Jim Weaver says Tracker Touch is the biggest innovation he’s seen in nearly three decades in the industry.

“With one look at the screen, you see everything important to managing calls,” Weaver says. “What type each truck is, where it is and what it is doing. You also see all your calls, the type and the status.”

Tracker Touch displays a map on a touch screen monitor with icons for your calls and trucks. To dispatch a job, you touch the icon for that call, then the icon for right equipment available and closest to the job.

Complete call information is automatically sent to the driver through a GPS/communication unit. The driver touches a button to accept the call and routing information is displayed. Currently, Tracker Touch works with TomTom 7150 units. Compatibility with equipment from additional vendors is in the planning stages.

“In 25 years of developing towing software, this is most powerful and productive tool I have seen,” Weaver says. “Because you see a complete status of everything, you can make the best possible dispatch decisions, get more tows from each shift and save on fuel. “

Weaver is developing a short video demonstrating how easy it is to learn and use Tracker Touch. Until it is completed, a 15-minute online demo is the best way to test drive the product and discover the benefits. To arrange a demo, call Weaver at 800.445.2438.

NMVTIS

NMVTIS Reporting Made Easier Through Tracker Management System and Auto Data Direct

With the recent Department of Justice policy clarification regarding the towing industry’s responsibility to report junk and salvage vehicles to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), tow and wrecker operators throughout the nation are seeking an easy to use and reliable service to ensure compliance with the rule.    Tracker Management System and Auto Data Direct, Inc. have teamed up to provide a solution that enhances efficiency, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

Tracker has specialized in business management and dispatch tools for the tow industry for over 20 years.  As the preferred vendor for tow companies of all sizes, Tracker systems dispatch over 100,000 tows each day throughout the country.

Auto Data Direct, Inc. (ADD) was the first company contracted with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) as a data consolidator for salvage pools, recyclers, and insurance companies required to report vehicle junk and salvage information to the NMVTIS database.   ADD’s  NMVTIS upload tools are designed to help businesses fulfill the reporting requirement quickly and easily.

Tracker is adding functionality to its software that makes it easy for impound lot companies to regularly report lists of qualifying vehicles to NMVTIS.  Tracker will provide complete one-stop compliance reporting signup and transmission services for lot managers with data going to the government through Auto Data Direct.

“Tracker has always been committed to continuously improving our product for our customers,” says Jim Weaver, C.E.O.   “Collaborating with ADD and providing access to their NMVTIS upload tools will give our customers the ability to easily comply with the federal rules.”

Jim Taylor, ADD’s President, agrees.  “Since contracting with AAMVA to serve as an upload portal, we have worked with individual tow companies as well as management systems to ensure the industry has access to a high quality program that lets them fulfill their obligation to report in a simple and effective manner.”  Taylor says the integration of ADD’s NMVTIS reporting feature with Tracker’s management and dispatch system offers those tow businesses a great solution for meeting this new requirement.
